Senior Software Engineer - Frontend Focus

Innovamat is an educational organization focused on mathematics learning. Its purpose is to help improve how this subject is learned by offering resources, training, and research to the educational community.

Founded in 2017 in Barcelona, Innovamat works with 24,000 teachers across more than 2,800 schools in Spain, the United States, Mexico, Italy, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru, helping over 600,000 students learn mathematics by fostering deep understanding and competency development.

What you will do:

• Take features from idea to classroom: design content with educators and designers, build it, polish it, measure results, and iterate.

• Technically lead the frontend of the content team: architecture, standards, tools, and workflows.

• Contribute to other web areas at Innovamat, such as the teacher dashboard where teachers manage academic materials and analyze student progress.

• Visit classrooms. The whole team visits schools at least once a quarter: you will see what you build in action and understand the "why" behind what we do.

Your main challenge will be to technically lead the transition of our activity catalog from Unity to the web. We are building the new activity runtime, and we need to lay a solid foundation to achieve the best interactivity, student feedback, scoring, telemetry, and more.

• You have built and delivered complex products from start to finish, and you can show us.

• You master TypeScript and React, and you have strong opinions about performance, state management, and frontend architecture.

• You have a constant growth mindset, and the use of agents has radically changed your development workflow over the past year (while keeping quality and best practices intact!).

• You have some backend experience, and you are not intimidated by working end to end across the entire stack.

• You have great attention to detail and care about how what you build feels, not just whether it works.

• You have a product engineer mindset and a genuine interest in understanding users and solving their problems.

• You enjoy working in a team and raising the bar for the people around you.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep frontend experience (5+ years) who wants to take part in developing complex applications from start to finish.

Qué harás:

• Llevar features de la idea al aula: diseñar contenidos con didactas y diseño, construirlos, pulirlos, medir resultados e iterarlos.

• Liderar técnicamente el frontend del equipo de contenidos: arquitectura, estándares, herramientas, flujos de trabajo.

• Participar en otras áreas web de Innovamat, como el gestor de aula donde los profesores gestionan el material académico y analizan el progreso de sus estudiantes.

• Visitar aulas. Todo el equipo visita escuelas al menos una vez por trimestre: verás en acción lo que has construido y entenderás el porqué de lo que hacemos.

El principal reto al que te enfrentarás será liderar técnicamente la transición de nuestro catálogo de actividades de Unity a web. Estamos construyendo el nuevo runtime de actividades, y debemos sentar unas buenas bases para tener la mejor interactividad, feedback al alumno, scoring, telemetría, etc.

• Has construido y entregado producto complejo de principio a fin, y nos lo puedes enseñar.

• Dominas TypeScript y React, y tienes criterio sobre rendimiento, gestión de estado y arquitectura frontend.

• Tienes una mentalidad de crecimiento constante y el uso de agentes ha cambiado tu flujo de desarrollo radicalmente en el último año (¡manteniendo la calidad y buenas prácticas!).

• Tienes cierta experiencia en backend, y no te intimida trabajar end to end en todo el stack.

• Tienes una gran atención al detalle y te importa cómo se siente lo que construyes, no solo que funcione.

• Tienes una mentalidad de ingeniero de producto, tienes un interés real por conocer los usuarios y resolver sus problemas.

• Te gusta trabajar en equipo, y elevas el nivel de la gente de tu alrededor.

Buscamos a un/a Senior Software Engineer con una experiencia profunda en frontend (5+ años) que quiera participar en el desarrollo de aplicaciones complejas de principio a fin.
