About the role

In the Tax Outsourcing & Compliance department, we specialize in outsourcing financial, accounting, and tax processes. We offer our clients, among other services, bookkeeping and accounting closings, preparation and filing of annual accounts and official books, preparation, settlement, and control of taxes for medium and large companies across different industries, preparation of appeals and submissions in response to Tax Administration requirements, invoicing for large Spanish and Portuguese companies, etc.

We are currently looking to bring on a senior tax accountant profile to perform the following duties:

What you'll do

  • Coordinate accounting teams, ensuring their development, motivation, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Foster an agile, learning-oriented work culture, promoting best practices and clear communication within the team.
  • Oversee the proper execution of the accounting cycle, monthly closings, and the preparation of financial statements. Manage data quality, validate reconciliations, provisions, and key adjustments, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Preparation and filing of Annual Accounts and Official Books.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax compliance obligations: preparation and review of VAT returns, informational forms, and other statistical models, as well as coordinating requirements with the Tax Administration.
  • Design and implement quality controls and automated validations to strengthen the reliability of financial and tax information.
  • Drive a technology-focused approach through automation and advanced reporting. Analyze results, identify deviations, and propose improvement actions to optimize project efficiency.
  • Deliver training sessions with the team to stay up to date on regulatory changes (accounting and tax), as well as office software and other technological tools.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, identifying improvements, anticipating risks, and proposing solutions.
  • Identify additional commercial opportunities and collaborate on expanding value-added services.

What do you need to know?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
  • Minimum of four years of experience, ideally in a consultancy or an administration or accounting department.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SAP is valued.
  • Experience in team and client management.
  • English level B2 - C1
  • Participation in process optimization and system implementation projects is a plus.
