ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Category D driving licence and a valid passenger CAP - this is an essential requirement and applicants without Category D entitlement cannot be considered for this position.
  • Valid driving licence appropriate for driving in Spain.
  • Ability to safely and confidently operate larger passenger-carrying vehicles.
  • Ability to undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks and identify and report potential safety or maintenance issues.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with a responsible approach to passenger safety.
  • Ability to work flexibly across an operational rota, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues and visitors.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when working under pressure.
  • High standards of personal presentation and professionalism.

  • Previous professional driving experience, particularly transporting passengers.
  • Previous experience operating larger passenger-carrying vehicles.
  • Experience working within an education, aviation, tourism, hospitality or customer-focused environment.
  • Good knowledge of the Alhama de Murcia and wider Murcia area.
  • English and Spanish language skills would be advantageous.

The role

The Driver will be responsible for the safe, efficient and timely transportation of Leading Edge Aviation students, staff and visitors between designated locations, including our Alhama Campus, accommodation sites, airports and other locations as required.

As a key point of contact for our students, staff and visitors, the Driver will represent Leading Edge Aviation professionally at all times, providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive and supportive student experience.

What you'll do

A valid Category D driving licence and a valid passenger CAP is an essential requirement for this role, as the successful candidate will be required to operate both our smaller passenger vehicles and our larger passenger-carrying vehicle.

The role also includes carrying out daily vehicle checks, ensuring vehicles are clean, well maintained and roadworthy, and operating all vehicles in accordance with relevant legal, safety and operational requirements.

  • Safely operate Leading Edge Aviation passenger vehicles, including the larger vehicle requiring a Category D driving licence.
  • Transport students, staff and visitors between:

-Student accommodation and the Alhama Campus

-Airports

-Supermarkets and other agreed local destinations

-Other locations and trips as reasonably requested by the Centre Manager

  • Take responsibility for the health, safety, comfort and welfare of passengers while they are in your care.
  • Provide a professional, friendly and positive experience for students, staff and visitors.
  • Carry out required daily and weekly vehicle safety checks and basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensure any defects, faults, incidents or accidents are reported promptly and in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable and roadworthy before and after use.
  • Refuel vehicles as required.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to vehicle use, checks and journeys.
  • Comply with all applicable road traffic, passenger transport, health and safety and Company requirements.
  • Support the Centre Manager and Customer Experience team with reasonable Campus responsibilities when transport duties allow.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role as required.

How you'll work

This is a full-time role working 39 hours per week, based at our Alhama de Murcia Campus. The role requires flexibility to work across the Campus transport schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays in accordance with the agreed rota. Shifts may start and finish at MiCampus/Bravo - Murica
