Technical Buyer (Metals - Automotive Sector)

At PAUL MARLEX we collaborate with one of Europe's leading minibus manufacturers, with an international presence, production plants in Spain and Romania, and its own commercial offices, which is currently undergoing a strategic transformation process. For this reason, they need to hire a TECHNICAL BUYER with experience in purchasing metal-related materials.

As part of the Purchasing and Procurement Department, the main tasks of the selected candidate, directly related to the purchase of metal-range products, both raw materials (iron, steel, stainless steel, sheet metal, aluminum, etc.) and transformation processes (cutting, bending, folding, welding, epoxy coating, painting, etc.), will be defined across two areas of activity:

Regarding RfQ processes – Supplier Qualification:

• Identify the technical needs of the product, in coordination with the Process Engineering, Product Engineering, and Quality departments.
• Review and understand the technical specifications, drawings, and manuals of the products to be purchased, ensuring the technical quality of the components being bought.
• Request, evaluate, and negotiate quotations with suppliers, according to the strategy defined for the family to which the component subject to purchase/procurement belongs.
• Directly negotiate commercial terms of the relationship with suppliers (price, productivity, Incoterm, safety stock, etc.), taking into account current regulations and necessary certifications, in order to pass the qualification process for the supplier in question.
• Once the supplier is qualified, follow the product industrialization process, ensuring the purchase launch to suppliers in terms of price, quality, and availability.

Regarding the management of purchasing processes for products in the assigned families:

• Define the purchasing strategy for the assigned material families: market analysis to identify service opportunities, cost structure analysis of the products to be purchased, and develop the network of qualified suppliers, both primary and secondary.
• Ensure the technical quality of the components to be purchased, with the aim of contributing to the company's efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the supply service level, including after-sales and aftermarket service from suppliers, detecting any possible incidents and/or issues related to quality and product procurement that may arise.

You are the ideal candidate if…

• You have technical training, preferably in Engineering, with additional training in purchasing management and/or supply chain being valued.
• You bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, in an industrial environment, leading and participating in purchasing and procurement processes, being accustomed to interpreting drawings and technical product specifications, and having participated in/led supplier qualification processes.
• You have experience managing purchasing processes by families or categories.
• You are available for international travel and have a command of the English language.
• You are a team player, unafraid to make decisions, able to work autonomously, and are proactive and agile in problem-solving.

Des de PAUL MARLEX col.laborem amb un dels fabricants de referència a nivell europeu de minibusos, amb presència internacional, plantes productives a Espanya i Romania i amb delegacions comercials pròpies, i que actualment es troba immers en un procés de transformació estratègica. Per aquest motiu, precisa incorporar un/a COMPRADOR/A TÈCNIC/A que aporti experiència en la compra de material relacionat amb el metall.

Formant part del Departament de Compres i Aprovisionament, les tasques principals de la persona seleccionada, relacionades directament amb la compra de producte de gamma metàl·lica, tant matèria primera (ferro, acer, acer inoxidable, xapa, alumini,...) com de transformació (talls, plegats, corbats, soldadures, epoxidats, pintats,...), seran, definides en dues àrees d'actuació:

En relació als processos RfQ - Homologació de Proveïdors:

• Identificar les necessitats tècniques del producte, en coordinació amb les àrees d'Enginyeria de Procés, Enginyeria de Producte i Qualitat.
• Revisar i comprendre les especificacions tècniques, els plànols i els manuals dels productes a adquirir, assegurant la qualitat tècnica dels components a comprar.
• Sol·licitar, avaluar i negociar les cotitzacions amb els proveïdors, segons l'estratègia definida per la família de la qual forma part el component subjecte de compra/aprovisionament.
• Negociar directament amb els proveïdores les condicions comercials de la relació (preu, productivitat, Incoterm, estoc de seguretat,...), tenint en compte les normatives actuals i les certificacions necessàries, per tal de superar el procés d'homologació per part del proveïdor en qüestió.
• Un cop homologat el proveïdor, seguir el procés d'industrialització dels productes, assegurant-ne el llançament de compra a proveïdors en preu, qualitat i disponibilitat.

En relació a la gestió dels processos de compra dels productes de les famílies assignades:

• Definir l'estratègia de compra de les famílies de materials assignades: anàlisi de mercat per identificar oportunitats de servei, anàlisi de l'estructura de costos dels productes a comprar, i desenvolupar la xarxa de proveïdors homologats, tant principals com secundaris.
• Assegurar la qualitat tècnica dels components a comprar, amb l'objectiu de contribuir a l'eficiència i la productivitat de l'empresa.
• Assegurar el nivell de servei de subministrament, incloent servei de post-venta i aftermarket per part dels proveïdores, detectant les possibles incidències i/o problemes en relació a la qualitat i l'aprovisionament dels productes que puguin sorgir.

Ets el/la candidat/a ideal si...

• Comptes amb formació tècnica, preferiblement en Enginyeria, valorant-se aportar formació complementària en gestió de compres i/o cadena de subministrament.
• Aportes una experiència mínima de 5 anys en lloc similar, en entorn industrial, liderant i participant en processos de compra i aprovisionament, estant habituat/da a la interpretació de plànols i d'especificacions tècniques de producte, i havent participat/liderat processos d'homologació de proveïdors.
• Comptes amb experiència gestionant processos de compra per famílies o per categories.
• Tens disponibilitat per viatjar a nivell internacional i domines la llengua anglesa.
• Ets una persona que sap treballar en equip, sense por a prendre decisions, que pot treballar amb autonomia, i és proactiva i àgil en la resolució de problemes.
