What you'll do

Coordinate the activities of the Quality Control Laboratory associated with QC projects according to the needs and priorities of the department. 

Ensure proper sampling of materials, raw materials, or products when necessary for analysis or customer shipments associated with projects.  

Ensure that raw materials, packaging materials, intermediate product, and/or finished product are analyzed as indicated in approved specifications, procedures, and protocols. 

Supervise project-related analyses performed by quality control analysts.  

Control the stock of laboratory materials to be used in the area's projects and ensure they are used within their expiration period. 

Ensure that results and operations are documented in a timely and proper manner, in compliance with current regulations for drug analysis and manufacturing and the company's quality system, in the specific notebooks / LIMS.  

Follow up on sampling results from area and utility qualification exercises, related to environmental monitoring and water systems analyzed by the plant's Quality Control laboratory or subcontracted external parties. 

Perform risk assessments for the implementation of new manufacturing areas to establish environmental monitoring points.

Prepare protocols and reports for validation and verification methods for bioburden, TOC, and UPLC.

Ensure compliance with quality regulations and internal requirements of the company's quality system. 

Ensure compliance with the company's quality system together with the rest of the department. 

Participate in the necessary training activities, both for Quality Control staff and for other areas. 

Daily follow-up of activities associated with projects, planning, and samples received, on each shift. 

Ensure compliance with standards and procedures established in the quality system, as well as compliance with GMP regulations, guidelines (ICH), and pharmacopoeias, related to the activities of the QC Projects area. 

Maintain and update documentation related to the work area. 

Participate in the development and review of guidelines, procedures, and protocols related to QC Projects activities. 

Generate the procedures and documentation applicable to the area: investigations, specifications, protocols and reports, validations, qualifications, transfers, and other documents subject to cGMP regulations. 

Establish plans and protocols in reports associated with qualification tasks for classified areas and utilities (water and gases). 

Execute non-conformities, deviations, and corrective and preventive actions arising from projects and qualification exercises in which the person is part of the project team.  

Coordinate applicable deviations and non-conformities according to specific procedures, and draft the investigations generated in projects led or with project team participation from the area. 

Investigate in a timely manner all out-of-specification results or deviations that occur in the area. 

Participate in audits and self-inspections related to matters in the area.
