About the role

At Sener, we wish to incorporate a Supply Chain Engineer into our team. You will join our Aerospace and Defense division, at our Tres Cantos offices.

We are an engineering company pioneering the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In Defense, we tackle the design and production of equipment and systems, including unmanned ones. Our passion for precision has led us to become trusted partners of the main space agencies, government bodies, and companies.

What you'll do

The selected candidate will carry out the assigned Supply Chain activities and tasks (Purchasing, Inspections, Subcontract Management, ...), proposing technical solutions and approaches, as well as estimating efforts, resources, and risks. All of this will be done in coordination with the work team members, in order to ensure the successful delivery of Sener's products. You will also participate in the process of identifying improvements in production and industrialization processes.

  • Develop Supply Chain tasks, in the areas of Purchasing, Inspection, and Subcontract Management, as assigned, in coordination with other team members or supervisors.

  • Provide technical assistance within your Area upon request from other areas in projects, consultations, or improvement processes.

  • Collect and record the necessary information to monitor the technical, schedule, and cost progress of your own project or process tasks, and transmit it to the project manager and team to facilitate decision-making.

  • Organize and oversee the precise documentation for each assigned project phase, transmit it to the manager/project team, and ensure its availability to the rest of the team.

  • Anticipate schedule (and/or cost) deviations and propose contingency actions to minimize their impact (on cost, schedule, or quality) or recover effectively and cost-efficiently.

  • Analyze the causality of deviations from the planned schedule and report their impacts.

  • Participate in technical committees within your discipline to improve, on the one hand, your autonomy and skills, and on the other, to ensure the dissemination and understanding of knowledge.

  • Develop new technical specifications, standards, procedures, formats, and tools for your discipline and keep them updated and available for other members of the Area and/or Division.

  • Ensure the application of the Supply Chain process management methodology throughout the lifecycle of the projects and/or products in which you participate.

  • Promote technical communication with suppliers of equipment and materials relevant to the project.

What you'll get

These are some of the benefits you will enjoy at Sener:

  • You will have the opportunity to participate in innovative, high-tech international projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team.

  • You will enjoy better management of your time through our flexible working hours and remote work policies.

  • You can optimize your salary with our flexible compensation plan (meal card, private health insurance, childcare vouchers...) and you will have life and accident insurance.

  • We will take care of you with our physical and emotional well-being program, which includes sports, workshops, etc.

  • We will boost your professional development with technical, skills, and language training, etc., so you can keep growing and achieving your goals.

  • We promote equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion for all people, and we are certified as a Family-Responsible Entity (efr).

If you identify with our values and want to be part of a leading international family-owned engineering firm, we look forward to meeting you! We want to go as far as you want to go.

What we expect from you

  • Degree in engineering.

  • At least 5 years of experience performing the functions described in the industrial sector.

  • Experience with purchasing processes, contract clause negotiation, price negotiation...

  • Knowledge and handling of ERP systems, production, planning, and purchasing.

  • Advanced level of English.
