About the role

At Serunion, a catering company with more than 30 years of experience in the sector, we are looking for the best talent to join our centers in the area. If you have experience and are looking for an opportunity to showcase your skills, this offer is perfect for you!  

We are looking for an institutional catering cook to join our team to cover several residences in the Barcelona area and surroundings. The person hired will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals for large groups, ensuring food quality and safety at all times.  

What you'll do

  • Develop preparations, ensure compliance with defined menus and technical data sheets, and implement good practices.
  • Prepare adapted menus and diets. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure proper organization and workflow.
  • Oversee the inventory of ingredients and materials, placing orders when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations – HACCP record.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in the work area, and control the use of machinery, materials, and tools.
  • Train new team members in the company's cooking practices and procedures. 

     

What we're looking for

  • Training preferably in Hospitality: Higher Technician in Restoration, Technician in Cooking or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience in the hospitality, catering, restaurant, or related sectors.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in similar roles is valued.
  • Resourceful person with strong communication skills.
  • Teamwork.
  • Availability required.

What you'll get

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week.  
  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday with days off, full-time.
  • Duration: approximately the summer season.
  • Salary: 1,900 euros gross per month, paid in 14 installments per year.
