External Plant Technician - Fiber Optic

• Supervise and maintain external plant fiber optic infrastructure.

• Manage incidents and coordinate corrective and preventive work.

• Interpret, design, and update technical documentation and network schematics.

• Prepare technical reports, intervention records, and incident tracking.

• Use and manage GIS tools for updating and validating infrastructure.

• Coordinate with operations, engineering teams, and external suppliers.

• Validate routes, manholes, conduits, and associated fiber optic network elements.

• Provide technical support for deployments, migrations, and scheduled work.

We are currently looking to hire a Specialist External Plant Technician with proven experience in fiber optic networks, management and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, and field operational support.

• Proven experience in fiber optic networks and external plant.

• Knowledge of network design and fiber optic infrastructure.

• Proficiency in GIS systems and network management tools.

• Ability to prepare technical documentation and reports.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and operational procedures.

• Medium/high level of technical English.

• Knowledge of French will be valued.

• Analytical skills, incident resolution, and teamwork abilities.

• Availability for field work and scheduled interventions.

• Supervisar y mantener infraestructuras de planta externa de fibra óptica.

• Gestionar incidencias y coordinar trabajos correctivos y preventivos.

• Interpretar, diseñar y actualizar documentación técnica y esquemas de red.

• Elaborar informes técnicos, reportes de intervención y seguimiento de incidencias.

• Utilizar y gestionar herramientas GIS para la actualización y validación de infraestructuras.

• Coordinarse con equipos de operación, ingeniería y proveedores externos.

• Validar rutas, cámaras, canalizaciones y elementos asociados a la red de fibra óptica.

• Prestar soporte técnico en despliegues, migraciones y trabajos programados.

En este momento se busca incorporar un/a Técnico/a Especialista en Planta Externa con experiencia demostrable en redes de fibra óptica, gestión y mantenimiento de infraestructuras de telecomunicaciones y soporte operativo en campo.

• Experiencia demostrable en redes de fibra óptica y planta externa.

• Conocimientos de diseño de redes e infraestructuras de fibra óptica.

• Manejo de sistemas GIS y herramientas de gestión de red.

• Capacidad para elaborar documentación e informes técnicos.

• Conocimiento de normativas de seguridad y procedimientos operativos.

• Nivel medio/alto de inglés técnico.

• Se valorarán conocimientos de francés.

• Capacidad de análisis, resolución de incidencias y trabajo en equipo.

• Disponibilidad para trabajos de campo e intervenciones programadas.
