Tech Operations COO

Your mission will be to control and manage the overall COO area budget, working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. In your day-to-day, your main responsibilities will be:

• Preparing the annual budget and closing forecast scenarios, in coordination with the different COO areas.
• Performing the monthly monitoring of budget execution and providing support in closing processes.
• Analyzing variances (budget vs. actual), identifying causes, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Proposing rebalancing and cost optimization measures.
• Preparing high-impact financial reports for decision-making.
• Providing support in the creation and maintenance of dashboards for different stakeholders.
• Driving the continuous improvement of budget management processes and tools (MyPurchase, internal budget management applications, etc.).
• Approving and controlling purchases, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Providing financial support in relevant RFPs.

At the Telefónica Tech Planning Unit, we are responsible for the management and control of the COO area's budget, coordinating our activities with the different practices that make up the management: Cloud, Cyber, IoT, and Big Data.

Our goal is to plan, control, and optimize financial resources through the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of the budget, ensuring the achievement of the company's economic and strategic objectives.

Additionally, we ensure that budget management tools are always available and up-to-date and functioning correctly, guaranteeing the quality and reliability of financial information.

• More than 5 years of experience in financial management, planning, management control, or purchasing positions.
• Experience in technology environments, consulting, or large organizations is valued.

We require knowledge of:

• Advanced proficiency in SAP and SRM.
• Solid accounting and administrative knowledge.
• Experience working with financial ERPs.
• Knowledge of Power BI (desirable).
• Very high proficiency in Excel, especially Power Query (highly valued).

Tu misión será controlar y gestionar el presupuesto global del área de COO, trabajando de manera transversal con múltiples stakeholders. En tu día a día, tus principales responsabilidades serán:

• Elaborar el presupuesto anual y los escenarios de estimación de cierre, en coordinación con las distintas áreas de COO.
• Realizar el seguimiento mensual de la ejecución presupuestaria y dar soporte en los procesos de cierre.
• Analizar desviaciones (budget vs. actual), identificando causas, riesgos y oportunidades de mejora.
• Proponer balanceos y medidas de optimización de costes.
• Preparar reportes financieros de alto impacto para la toma de decisiones.
• Dar soporte en la creación y mantenimiento de dashboards para diferentes stakeholders.
• Impulsar la mejora continua de procesos y herramientas de gestión presupuestaria (MyCompra, aplicaciones internas de gestión de presupuesto, etc.).
• Aprobación y control de compras, asegurando el cumplimiento de políticas internas.
• Soporte económico-financiero en RFPs relevantes.

En la Unidad de Planificación de Telefónica Tech, somos responsables de la gestión y control del presupuesto del área de COO, coordinando nuestra actividad con las diferentes prácticas que componen la dirección: Cloud, Cyber, IoT y Big Data.

Nuestro objetivo es planificar, controlar y optimizar los recursos financieros mediante la elaboración, seguimiento y análisis del presupuesto, asegurando el cumplimiento de los objetivos económicos y estratégicos de la compañía.

Adicionalmente, velamos porque las herramientas de gestión presupuestaria estén siempre disponibles, actualizadas y funcionando correctamente, garantizando la calidad y fiabilidad de la información financiera.

• Más de 5 años de experiencia en posiciones de gestión económica, planificación, control de gestión o compras.
• Valorable experiencia en entornos tecnológicos, consultoría o grandes organizaciones.

Necesitamos que conozcas

• Dominio avanzado de SAP y SRM.
• Sólidos conocimientos contables y administrativos.
• Experiencia trabajando con ERP financieros.
• Conocimientos de Power BI (deseable).
• Nivel muy alto de Excel, especialmente Power Query (muy valorado).
