About the role

The AI & Big Data business unit at Telefonica Tech helps its clients in their digital transformation process by unifying the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, IoT, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing. This team's mission is to help organizations increase their results through a global offering of products and services such as strategic consulting, infrastructure deployment, development and industrialization of analytical models, and training on new technologies, among others. Thus, we need motivated people with real knowledge related to the subject matter and a desire to keep learning new technologies.

The Data Science / AI Engineering team is responsible for designing and deploying advanced Artificial Intelligence solutions, with a growing focus on Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent agent systems, while also maintaining relevant projects related to data exploitation and analysis, from its origin to generating value for our clients, through the implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques. Furthermore, the challenge of staying updated on the latest trends is always maintained, such as the research and business development line related to Quantum Computing.

We work with organizations from multiple sectors (public administration, industry, banking, healthcare, sports, etc.) and use the major cloud hyperscalers (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, among others), applying agile methodologies and engineering best practices to bring our solutions into production.

What you'll do

For this specific profile, we are looking for a person with a research background (PhD mandatory) and demonstrable knowledge in the field of quantum computing (qubits, quantum ML, quantum frameworks, simulators, hardware, etc.), in addition to knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence / Generative AI in general, who is capable of understanding, proposing, and developing the use cases or projects to be solved.

Some of the day-to-day activities may include:

Participating in gathering business requirements from a technical point of view.

Cleaning, transforming, and modifying data as needed to fit the analytical approach proposed for the use case.

Participating in the definition of technical architectures for AI solutions, aligned with business requirements and corporate standards.

Designing, training, evaluating, and optimizing Machine Learning and Deep Learning models, including Generative AI models.

Evaluating new trends, models, and frameworks for AI and agents, and bringing them into production when they add value.

Proposing, developing, and implementing solutions to address needs related to the field of quantum computing, as well as identifying new opportunities.

Generating documentation and transferring knowledge to the various stakeholders.

Providing technical training on topics within their domain.

Staying updated on technical tools and trends.

AND FOR THIS, WE BELIEVE IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU HAD...
