About the role

Mission: To direct the care activities of the University Clinic, ensuring clinical practices oriented toward the full satisfaction of the academic and training needs of students in each area of knowledge, as well as the pursuit of efficiency, continuous quality improvement, and patient satisfaction, while ensuring compliance with their rights and duties. To take responsibility for the budget and profit and loss account of the Clinic, for patient acquisition and retention, and for the supervision of the human and material resources under their charge, in coordination with the University's Clinic management team in Spain. What you'll do

  1. Care management:
  • Ensure appropriate patient care on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate the care needs generated by the Clinic with the adaptation of the practical programs of the subjects in each area of knowledge, according to the criteria defined for each area, in collaboration with the Faculty and academic coordinators.
  • Ensure the day-to-day management of the clinic, resolving problems and incidents with patients escalated by their team during daily activities, and fostering a professional and pleasant working atmosphere within their team.
  • Propose actions to improve the quality of care activities, for patients as well as for students and teaching staff in the clinic, and lead, in coordination with the clinic management team, the implementation of jointly defined improvement projects.
  • Promote and supervise the collection of activity data in order to understand the work carried out, and to compare, evaluate, and correct it.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations, radiation protection, occupational risk prevention, data protection, and any other regulatory requirements applicable to the Clinic.
  • Coordinate the identification of material resource needs across all clinical areas and improvements in the Clinic's infrastructure and equipment. Assess these needs based on strategic priorities for budget setting and, once the action is approved, monitor it in accordance with the purchasing policies and the processes defined with the University's support departments.

2) Profitability and Efficiency

  • Participate in the review process of services, prices, and other characteristics of the care offering, in order to ensure the Clinic's financial balance.
  • Lead the planning and development of patient acquisition plans and contribute to development and marketing plans as a member of the University's Clinic management team in Spain.
  • Manage purchasing and supplies in accordance with the criteria of the Purchasing Department.
  • Manage income and expenses (invoices) according to the procedures and criteria of the Administration Department.
  • Develop special actions that increase the number of patients, in line with the clinical practice needs of students identified in each area of knowledge.
  • Work in coordination with Finance to establish the Clinic's budgets.
  • Continuously monitor the Clinic's income and expenses, ensuring compliance with assigned budgets and the achievement of set business objectives.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency in the use of the clinic's spaces and resources, while respecting the teaching needs of the different areas.
  • Participate as a member of the University's Clinic management team in Spain in expansion projects, providing the necessary knowledge and support in the implementation of new university clinics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Dentistry. A postgraduate degree in Management is valued.
  • Experience: Experience in managing healthcare organizations (minimum 5 years), ideally dental clinics.
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical management tools (Cliniwin or similar).
  • Proficiency in office tools and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of economic and budget management and monitoring of indicators.
  • B2 level of English is desirable.
