What you'll do

  • Lead in an integrated manner the academic and non-academic areas of the Centre, ensuring coherence between the educational model, the student experience and business objectives
  • Align the mission, activity and development of the Adscribed Centre with the strategy, mission, values and policies of the Universidad Europea and the Group.
  • Propose and manage the Centre's P&L, ensuring economic sustainability, budget control and the achievement of profitability and growth objectives.
  • Propose the Centre's objectives, growth plans and annual budgets, ensuring their coherence with corporate objectives and submitting them for approval by the University.
  • Direct the Centre's overall activity, driving its growth, economic sustainability and positioning as a benchmark for higher education in the territorial area.
  • Define and lead the Centre's organisational structure, promoting efficient resource management and the performance of academic and non-teaching teams.
  • Ensure the implementation and proper operation of the academic, operational and corporate processes defined by the Universidad Europea (One University model). 
  • Ensure proper coordination with the UEM's central areas (Academic, HR, Finance, Marketing, Research, Quality, Legal, etc.).
  • Define, in coordination with the UEM Marketing area, the positioning of the Adscribed Centre and its differential value proposition in the local market.
  • Promote the development of the Universidad Europea brand in Asturias, ensuring its proper application and visibility.
  • Oversee communication, recruitment, sales and student service plans, ensuring compliance with growth and satisfaction objectives.
  • Ensure a deep knowledge of the local market, training needs, professional sectors and employers, proposing an academic offering aligned with such demand.
  • Represent the Centre institutionally before public administrations, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, companies and other relevant stakeholders in the environment.
  • Lead the implementation of the Universidad Europea academic model at the Adscribed Centre, ensuring teaching quality standards, student experience and academic results.
  • Oversee the development, updating and innovation of the academic portfolio, in coordination with the UEM and in accordance with current regulations.
  • Ensure that the Centre's teaching staff meets the requirements of number, experience, accreditation and competencies required by regulations.
  • Promote the professional development of the teaching staff, in coordination with the UEM's academic and research areas.
  • Drive internationalisation, employability and engagement initiatives with the professional environment.
  • Ensure that the Centre's activity is carried out in compliance with current academic, regulatory and legal provisions, both at national and regional level.
  • Ensure compliance with affiliation agreements, commitments to the Universidad Europea and the requirements of regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate the quality, accreditation and audit processes applicable to the Adscribed Centre.
  • Ensure proper management of the Centre's academic, operational and reputational risks.

Requirements

  • PhD, with an academic track record in higher education institutions.
  • English C1
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in positions of responsibility leading teams.
  • Proven experience in academic management in universities, higher education centres or equivalent institutions, or complex projects with a strong regulatory component.
  • Demonstrated ability for business financial management (P&L) and supervision of commercial and operational activities.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Health Sciences field, preferably,
  • Knowledge of the Spanish university regulatory framework (adscribed centres, accreditations, quality).
  • High leadership, influence and stakeholder management capacity.
