Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain). Our Digital Hub in Barcelona is formed by +450 employees working in strategic projects and different roles such as Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management or Digital Marketing.

The Senior Principal, Unified Digital Experience defines the enterprise vision, experience architecture, and long-term convergence roadmap for Schneider Electric's customer-facing digital ecosystem. The role connects public web, authenticated experiences, commerce, search, mobile, support, personalization, IFD, and AI-enabled experiences into a coherent end-to-end customer experience.

The role also shapes how AI-enabled experiences, conversational interfaces, recommendations, and intelligent routing integrate into the broader customer journey and experience architecture.

This is a Senior Principal-level individual contributor role reporting to the VP, Digital Customer Experience. Operating across business units, functions, and technology domains, the role advises senior leadership and leads through recognized expertise, enterprise influence, and evidence-based recommendations rather than direct authority.

What will you do?

Core Responsibilities

1. Experience Vision & Architecture

• Define the enterprise target-state model and principles for unified digital experiences.
• Own the enterprise cross-domain experience blueprint covering journeys, navigation, identity, personalization, customer context, and shared capabilities.
• Identify systemic fragmentation and shape enterprise opportunities for convergence, simplification, and reuse.

2. Journey Integration & Intelligent Experiences

• Define how independently managed platforms and domains connect into strategic end-to-end customer journeys, including transitions between anonymous and authenticated experiences.
• Define enterprise principles for AI-powered experiences, including conversational interfaces, recommendations, and intelligent routing, to ensure consistency, customer trust, discoverability, accessibility, and seamless integration across digital touchpoints, in partnership with product, data, privacy, security, and architecture leaders.

3. Convergence Roadmap & Strategic Advice

• Own the multi-year experience convergence roadmap and influence alignment across domain, platform, and investment roadmaps.
• Advise senior leadership on enterprise priorities, strategic trade-offs, investment sequencing, customer value, architectural fit, and reuse potential.
• Anticipate technology and experience shifts and translate them into implications for the long-term digital strategy.

4. Experience Quality & Measurement

• Define enterprise objectives and outcome measures for journey completion, handoff quality, consistency, accessibility, performance, reliability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
• Synthesize customer feedback, behavioral data, market signals, and operational insights to shape strategic improvement priorities.

Collaboration & Influence

• Partner with senior leaders and experts across Application, Domain, Product, UX, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Security, Privacy, Marketing, Commerce, and Customer Care.
• Build enterprise alignment around a customer-outcome, experience-first, and platform-reuse mindset.
• Provide authoritative, constructive challenge and clear recommendations on high-impact cross-domain experience decisions.

Role Accountability & Boundaries

• Accountable for the enterprise unified experience blueprint and long-term convergence roadmap.
• Shapes experience and integration principles with the accountable architecture and platform teams.
• Does not chair governance bodies, approve exceptions, enforce compliance, or own product delivery, engineering execution, or operational performance.

What qualifications will make you successful

Experience & Skills

Required

• Extensive experience shaping enterprise-scale digital platform or customer experience transformation across multiple domains.
• Proven ability to set enterprise direction, resolve ambiguity, and drive cross-platform convergence in complex, global, matrixed organizations.
• Deep knowledge of digital platforms, experience architecture, front-end patterns, APIs, identity, integration models, customer journeys, logged-in experiences, and personalization.
• Understanding of AI-enabled customer experiences, conversational interfaces, personalization, and emerging digital interaction models.
• Exceptional executive communication, strategic judgment, stakeholder leadership, influencing, and long-range roadmap skills.
• Recognized authority able to influence senior leaders and shape direction across organizational boundaries without direct control.

Working Knowledge / Preferred

• Cloud-native and distributed architecture patterns; data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI considerations.
• Digital analytics, experimentation, accessibility, performance, SEO/GEO, enterprise search, and discoverability.
• Experience with composable, micro-frontend, multi-zone, B2B commerce, partner, or customer-service ecosystems; customer-facing AI experiences, agentic workflows, or conversational platforms.

• Reduced fragmentation and duplication across customer-facing experiences.
• Improved completion and reduced drop-off across priority journeys and cross-domain handoffs.
• Greater reuse of shared capabilities and alignment with the target experience blueprint.
• Improved experience consistency, accessibility, performance, reliability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
• A clear, maintained, and enterprise-aligned convergence roadmap that informs strategic investment decisions.
