Maintenance Technician

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure the proper functioning of the hotel's facilities through preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring the safety, comfort, and experience of guests with efficient and discreet service.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Director, these are the responsibilities and duties, listed as illustrative but not exhaustive:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and telecommunications installations.
• Periodically inspect the condition of rooms, common areas, equipment, and systems, reporting issues and resolving breakdowns.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of external contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and procedures.
• Install, adjust, and commission equipment and systems, keeping updated records of interventions and repairs.
• Comply with and enforce safety regulations (including Accor's legionella directive) and occupational risk prevention protocols.
• Actively collaborate in optimizing energy consumption and reducing waste.
• Respond immediately in case of emergency to ensure the safety of people and facilities.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the workshop and work areas.
• Complete assigned training for the position to develop technical skills.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 to 3 years in a similar position (hotels or high-occupancy buildings).
• Education: Intermediate Vocational Training Cycle in Maintenance, Electricity, Mechanics, or similar.
• Languages: Advanced Spanish; intermediate English (a plus).
• Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanics.
• Basic proficiency in office tools and management software.
• Availability to work rotating shifts and handle emergencies.

MISION DEL PUESTO

Garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de las instalaciones del hotel mediante el mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo de equipos, sistemas e infraestructuras, asegurando la seguridad, el confort y la experiencia de los huéspedes con un servicio eficiente y discreto.

Reportando al Supervisor y Director de Mantenimiento, estas son las responsabilidades y funciones a título enunciativo, pero no limitativo:

• Realizar mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo en instalaciones de electricidad, fontanería, climatización, carpintería, pintura y telecomunicaciones.
• Inspeccionar periódicamente el estado de las habitaciones, zonas comunes, equipos y sistemas, reportando incidencias y resolviendo averías.
• Coordinar y supervisar el trabajo de contratistas y proveedores externos, asegurando el cumplimiento de los estándares y procedimientos del hotel.
• Instalar, ajustar y poner en funcionamiento equipos y sistemas, manteniendo registros actualizados de intervenciones y reparaciones.
• Cumplir y hacer cumplir las normativas de seguridad (incluyendo la directiva sobre legionelosis de Accor) y los protocolos de PRL.
• Colaborar activamente en la optimización del consumo energético y reducción de residuos.
• Responder de forma inmediata en caso de emergencia para garantizar la seguridad de personas e instalaciones.
• Mantener el orden y limpieza del taller y áreas de trabajo.
• Completar las formaciones asignadas al puesto para el desarrollo de competencias técnicas.

Requisitos

• Experiencia: entre 1 y 3 años en puesto similar (hoteles o edificios de alta ocupación).
• Formación: Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio en Mantenimiento, Electricidad, Mecánica o similar.
• Idiomas: Español avanzado; inglés intermedio (valorable).
• Conocimientos en electricidad, fontanería, climatización y mecánica general.
• Manejo básico de herramientas ofimáticas y software de gestión.
• Disponibilidad para trabajar en turnos rotativos y atender emergencias.
