The housekeeping manager is the main person responsible for ensuring that the operation of the entire housekeeping department is carried out excellently, controlling the different teams of the department, establishing the standards and methodologies of work together with the housekeeping director, and ensuring that the client receives a flawless and hassle-free service in any area during their stay.

· Prepares schedules based on occupancy and the hotel's needs, including events or special functions, ensuring that the staff present is always the right and necessary to carry out all tasks.

· Carries out the administrative tasks indicated and assigned by the housekeeping director, with special emphasis on those processes that involve cost control.

· Establishes maintenance protocols for machinery, including routine inventories and periodic functionality checks.

· Coordinates the inventory of the hotel's linens and towels, this being a fundamental element to ensure that the material used is properly controlled and to avoid losses or the use of inadequate material.

· Uses all the hotel's computer programs as indicated to ensure communication and operational efficiency.

· Actively shares the results of their inspections with their team, using this information to recognize the team's work and detect areas for improvement.

· Knows how to act in detail regarding all standards related to guest incidents, belongings, locked safes, damage claims, etc.

· Knows how to act in case of any incident related to pests, and how to proceed in such cases.

· Knows intimately all the hotel's infrastructure, as well as the services offered and their schedules, and provides this information to guests.

· Is informed daily of all the hotel's events, VIP clientele, functions, and special situations, and ensures to communicate it to their teams to foster daily knowledge of the hotel's status.

· Supports the housekeeping director at all times in their functions, replacing them during periods of absence, being present at the hotel's daily meetings, project presentations, etc.

· In general, performs other tasks assigned by the housekeeping department management team or by the hotel management.

Required education and experience

· Compulsory Secondary Education

· Driver's license B

· Previous experience in similar positions is essential, and experience in the luxury segment is valued.
