About the role

We are looking for a motivated student in their final year or recent graduate (actuarial science student) with a technical profile to join our team as an intern. This role will give you the opportunity to delve into the world of non-life actuarial reserving (Autos), actively participating in data analysis and collaborating on both internal and external reporting.

What you'll do

● Data Management with Python, SQL, VBA: Support the extraction, cleaning, and validation of claims and policy databases to ensure the

quality of the information.

● Reserving Analysis (Autos): Collaborate on data preparation and projection of actuarial claims triangles using standard methodologies (such as Chain-Ladder or Bornhuetter-Ferguson).

● Monthly and Regulatory Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly actuarial reports and provide support in completing the Solvency II QRTs for regulatory submissions.

● Reconciliation: Help with periodic reconciliation tasks between purely actuarial data and financial statements.

● Team Support: Participate in the automation of routine departmental processes and provide documentation support during audits.

Requirements

● Education: Student in their final year or recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science and Finance.

● Technical Skills:

  • Basic/intermediate knowledge of Python and SQL oriented towards data manipulation and extraction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Knowledge of Solvency II concepts and reserving estimation methods (IBNR/UPR) will be positively valued.

● Languages: Good level of Spanish and English (both spoken and written).

● Soft Skills: High attention to detail, analytical skills, proactive attitude, and a strong desire to learn and grow in the insurance sector.
