About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Accounting and Reporting, you will join an international and dynamic environment. We are looking for a professional with solid experience in the insurance sector (including the Spanish Accounting Plan for Insurance Entities and IFRS 17), analytical skills, and a multidisciplinary vision to lead regulatory compliance and excellence in local and group financial statements.

What you'll do

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and report financial statements under local regulations (PCEA) and international standards (IFRS 17).
  • Annual Accounts and Audit: Lead the preparation of the Annual Accounts and coordinate the relationship with external and internal auditors, ensuring the delivery of accurate documentation.
  • Solvency II: Collaborate closely with the Capital team in preparing reporting under the Solvency II framework.
  • Planning and Control: Support the Controlling team in budget preparation and capital cost analysis.
  • Internal Control: Oversee the design and implementation of financial controls, ensuring updated process documentation and promoting continuous improvement of the internal control system to mitigate operational risks.
  • Digital Transformation: Actively participate in the implementation of the new financial ERP and propose improvements to processes in the area.
  • Information Management: Generate management reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) with value-added analysis for decision-making.
  • International Interaction: Collaborate smoothly with the parent company in the United Kingdom and local teams in France, Italy, and Spain.
  • Other: Flexibility to take on ad-hoc projects and cross-functional tasks according to the changing needs of the department.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or similar fields. Postgraduate studies or an official accounting qualification (such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) will be valued.
