About the role

We are looking to bring an Occupational Therapist into our Ballesol Castellón residence who shares our vocation for service and contributes to improving the quality of life of older adults through rehabilitation, stimulation, and maintenance programs for functional abilities.

What will your mission be?

As an Occupational Therapist, your mission will be to contribute to maximizing the independence of our residents in their daily lives through therapeutic actions that effectively integrate physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects while promoting their well-being.

Responsibilities and duties of the position

  • Assess the functional capacity and independence level of residents (assessment of basic and instrumental activities of daily living).
  • Design customized plans for the maintenance or improvement of activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Run cognitive stimulation workshops (in collaboration with Psychology), arts and crafts, psychomotor activities, and therapeutic leisure (in coordination with TASOC).
  • Run gerontogymnastics workshops.
  • Adapt environments, objects, and technical aids to promote independence.
  • Promote social integration and participation in group activities.
  • Collaborate in the prevention of physical and cognitive decline.
