The role

At Ballesol, we have been providing care and attention to the elderly for over 40 years, being a benchmark in the residential sector with more than 55 centers throughout Spain and a team of over 4,500 professionals committed to comprehensive care, autonomy, and the well-being of our residents.

We are looking to bring on an Occupational Therapist at our Ballesol San Felices residence who shares our vocation for service and helps improve the quality of life of older adults through rehabilitation, stimulation, and maintenance programs for functional abilities.

What you'll do

As an Occupational Therapist, your mission will be to contribute to maximizing the independence of our residents in their daily lives through therapeutic actions that effectively integrate physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects, promoting their well-being.

Assess the functional capacity and level of autonomy of residents (assessment of basic and instrumental activities of daily living).
Design individualized programs for the maintenance or improvement of activities of daily living (ADLs).
Conduct cognitive stimulation workshops (in collaboration with Psychology), crafts, psychomotricity, and therapeutic leisure (in coordination with TASOC).
Conduct gerontogymnastics workshops.
Adapt environments, objects, and technical aids to promote autonomy.
Promote social integration and participation in collective activities.
Collaborate in the prevention of physical and cognitive deterioration.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
MANDATORY Homologation by the Ministry of Education, in the case of foreign qualifications
Be registered with the corresponding Official College of Occupational Therapists and up-to-date with collegiate obligations.
Preferably at least one year of previous experience in the geriatric field and knowledge of the user profile of residences.
