What you'll do

  • You help deliver high-quality web applications that enhance BASF Coatings services for internal and external users.
  • You work in an agile, cross-functional DevOps team and support the product lifecycle from concept to launch, with a strong focus on quality assurance and test automation.

What we're looking for

  • More than 3 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or quality engineering in an IT environment.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification gained through practical experience.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test reports, and structured testing documentation.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and validating defects, as well as testing web applications and APIs; experience with cloud environments will be valued positively.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one test automation framework such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Cucumber/Gherkin.
  • Hands-on experience with common QA tools for API testing and functional testing, such as Postman or SOAP UI.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one programming language used for test automation, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented or microservices-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or an interest in working with automated quality checks in delivery pipelines.
  • Experience working on multiple applications or projects and the ability to balance testing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A structured, analytical, and collaborative way of working, with strong problem-solving skills and self-organization.
  • Strong communication skills in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively across different locations and time zones.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in agile development teams.
