Location: Spain

Required Experience: Minimum 4 years

We are looking to hire an Engineering Coordinator (m/f) with solid experience in the management and execution of high-voltage electrical substation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising all project phases, from engineering through to commissioning, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.

What you'll do

  • Engineering Coordination: Effectively manage and coordinate with subcontracted engineering, ensuring the timely delivery of engineering deliverables to prevent delays in the procurement and construction phases.
  • Supervision and Optimization: Responsible for detailed supervision and continuous optimization of engineering processes, maintaining the highest quality standards and ensuring strict compliance with applicable technical and safety regulations.
  • Interdepartmental and Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key liaison and primary communicator between the client, internal and external engineering teams, suppliers, and site personnel, facilitating smooth and efficient communication.
  • Technical Query Management and Decision Making: Lead the resolution of technical queries, preventing project progress from being compromised by a lack of definition. Make informed and timely executive decisions when conflicts arise between current regulations, contractual requirements, and construction needs.
  • Regulatory and Contractual Compliance Assurance: Ensure perfect alignment between the specific requirements stipulated in the client contract and the international regulatory framework (IEC/EN). Act as the main technical authority to resolve discrepancies and design challenges that could directly impact the legalization of the installation or its proper commissioning.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify technical risks inherent to the project design, developing strategies and action plans for their effective mitigation.
  • Discipline Integration: Lead the integration and coordination of the various engineering disciplines involved in the project, including civil, electrical-mechanical, and commissioning, ensuring coherence and synergy among them all.
  • EPC Project Management: Assume overall responsibility for managing the project under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) model, coordinating all phases and ensuring successful project delivery within the defined schedule, budget, and scope.
