Job Description
We want to add a Rotating Equipment Operator to our team, are you in?
Your main mission will be to ensure the correct execution of the maintenance, modification, and assembly works of the rotating equipment entrusted to you, following established standards and procedures, guaranteeing safety conditions, and caring for the environment.
And of course, knowing and enforcing the safety standards for both BP personnel and contractors.
What you'll do
Your main functions as an instrumentation operator will be:
- Requesting work permits for the performance of any rotating equipment work within the industrial site in which you are going to be a supervisor and/or executor of the same.
- Executing preventive, corrective, and statutory maintenance works, as well as the modifications, testing, and assembly of rotating equipment, according to established standards and procedures, guaranteeing the safety of people, the environment, and equipment.
- Performing inspections, operational tests, repairs, and adjustments to rotating equipment, guaranteeing that they are in adequate operating conditions.
- Supervising the personnel of contracted companies in the performance of the works entrusted to them.
- Interpreting assembly and exploded view drawings, schemes, specifications, diagrams, instruction manuals, and procedures corresponding to the equipment to be serviced, requesting instructions from your hierarchical superior if necessary.
- Informing your supervisor of any abnormal or irregular condition in the equipment of your specialty, as well as recommending the repair or replacement of equipment.
- Collaborating in the detection of needs for materials, spare parts, supplies, and tools.
- Adequately using machine tools, materials, and equipment in the workshop for personal and collective use for the performance of rotating equipment maintenance works, taking responsibility for their correct conservation.
- Verifying the safety conditions of the works in which you develop your activities, caring for your own safety and that of other workers.
- Collaborating in the preparation of Maintenance procedures and ranges for your specialty, providing data and work reports.
- Collaborating in the analysis of breakdowns and incidents produced, as well as in the determination of their causes and in the proposal of corrective measures.
- Performing the actions and tasks entrusted in the Self-Protection Plan.
- Complying with quality verification processes in the execution of assigned works (Qa/Qcs).
- Performing any other professional task entrusted to you within your professional functions, and the operational needs of the work that may arise at any time.
How you'll work
- Schedule from 7:00 to 14:20, Monday to Friday, and being part of the on-call system.
