Overhead Crane Operator

Comply with all rules, instructions, and procedures of the health and safety, quality, and environmental management systems implemented in the company.

• From the operating position, the operator handles the control devices to operate the overhead crane.

• Read and interpret the necessary parameters to correctly handle the control equipment and perform the driving and maneuvering of the cranes.

Apply regulations on load lifting.

• Move finished and semi-finished products internally.

• Manage finished product warehouses and locations.

Know and understand the load chart.

• Adjust and operate the crane control equipment according to the nature of the work to be performed, taking into account the dimensions and weight of the materials and products.

• Ensure the correct operation of the conductor system, the trolley, the bridge wheel, the drive wheel, the hook, etc.

Contribute to the effectiveness of the management system and improve performance.

• On some occasions, recognize circumstances that require the use of heavy machinery and help resolve the problem.

• Maintain and update the activity and maintenance log.

Coordinate with other operators and interpret the information received from them.

• Solve problems in the workplace.

• Know and identify significant environmental aspects and their impacts associated with your area and activity.

Cumplir con todas las normas, instrucciones y procedimientos de sistema de seguridad y salud, calidad y medio ambiente implantados en la empresa.

• Desde el puesto de operación el operario maneja los órganos de control para operar con el puente grúa.

• Leer e interpretar los parámetros necesarios para manipular correctamente el equipo de control y realizar la conducción y maniobra de las grúas.

Aplicar normativa en elevación de cargas.

• Mover productos terminados y semiterminados en interno.

• Gestionar los almacenes de producto terminado y ubicaciones.

Conocer y comprender el cuadro de carga.

• Ajustar y manejar el equipo de control de la grúa de acuerdo con la naturaleza del trabajo a realizar, teniendo en cuenta las dimensiones y el peso de los materiales y productos.

• Asegurar el correcto funcionamiento del sistema de conductores, el carro, la rueda del puente, la rueda motriz, el gancho, etc.

Contribuir a la eficacia del sistema de gestión y mejorar el desempeño.

• En algunas ocasiones, reconocer circunstancias que requieren el uso de máquinas pesadas y ayudar a la resolución del problema.

• Mantener y actualizar el registro de actividades y mantenimiento.

Coordinarse con otros operarios e interpretar la información recibida por estos.

• Solucionar problemas en el lugar de trabajo.

• Conocer e identificar aspectos ambientales significativos y sus impactos asociados a su zona y actividad.
