Java Backend Developer

5 years of experience in backend development with Java:

• Spring Boot 2.

• Hibernate / JPA.

• JUnit.
• Gradle.
• REST APIs.
• gRPC.
• Protocol Buffers (Protobuf).

Experience in developing applications based on microservices.

Solid knowledge of design patterns, best practices, and software architecture.

Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) processes.

English B2, sufficient to read and write technical documentation and communicate in writing with international teams.

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with 5 years of experience to join a development team focused on microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.

A technical challenge where you will work with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS, participating in the development of scalable solutions and the continuous improvement of software quality.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications with Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and evolve applications based on microservices architectures.
• Implement and maintain REST APIs and gRPC services.
• Integrate applications through event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka.
• Design and optimize data access using PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Develop clean, maintainable code aligned with best practices.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews and in the continuous improvement of the team.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead, Product Owner, and the rest of the team during the development lifecycle.
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Collaborate in the implementation of solutions in AWS.

• Location: Madrid (Las Tablas area)
• Modality: 100% remote for candidates residing outside of Madrid. For residents in Madrid, the working modality will be hybrid (2 days on-site/week).
• Schedule: Full time
