Manufacturing Cost Controller

At Hayward, a global leader in pool equipment and solutions, we are looking for an Industrial Cost Controller to join our Finance team in Getafe.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in manufacturing or industrial environments who enjoys working closely with Operations to improve profitability, optimize manufacturing costs, and support data-driven decision-making.
Reporting to the Europe Cost Controller, you will play a key role in cost analysis, inventory control, manufacturing performance measurement, and operational improvement initiatives across our Iberian operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly manufacturing financial closing process for Iberia.
- Calculate and maintain product standard costs, including annual updates and monthly variance analysis versus actual costs.
- Work closely with Manufacturing teams to identify and implement actions to reduce cost variances.
- Analyze production costs by category, including labor, materials, productivity, wage rates, and yield factors.
- Review transfer pricing between Iberia and other Hayward business units.
- Develop, track, and analyze operational and distribution KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor inventory levels and provide monthly analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with Operations to improve inventory accuracy and reduce lead times.
- Calculate monthly inventory reserves and support initiatives to reduce slow-moving and obsolete stock.
- Lead inventory counts across Iberian sites.
- Track and monitor savings initiatives and cost reduction projects.
- Prepare presentations and financial reports for internal stakeholders and auditors.
- Support absenteeism reporting and analysis.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Finance, Cost Controlling, Manufacturing Controlling, Industrial Finance, or a similar role within an industrial environment.
- Experience working with manufacturing costs, inventory analysis, or operations finance is highly valued.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Interest in data analytics and operational performance analysis.
- Fluent English, with the ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.

- Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while partnering closely with Operations and Manufacturing teams.
