About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer for Synchronous Generators for our Flexible Power Generation business, where the main mission of the position will be:

Reporting to the current SAT Manager and under their training and supervision, the objective of the person joining will be to provide technical support to customers from the Beasain plant, throughout the service life of the generators from their installation and commissioning.

What you'll do

  • Support customer service with inquiries, claims, and technical issues for generators in service, effectively and promptly.

  • Coordinate internal and external resources for field operations and workshop repairs. Supervise daily information (photos, reports) and the final deliverable report.

  • Provide support to internal and subcontractor field engineers during technical assistance visits.

  • Coordinate with various internal departments to resolve technical inquiries and issues.

  • Prepare technical, contractual, and logistical aspects of technical assistance and repairs at customer sites/ships.

  • Communicate relevant issues to the quality department for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure quality and consistency of service.

  • Support the commercial department in defining spare parts, services, and contract offers.

  • Collaborate with the engineering office on service aspects for design.

  • Travel occasionally to customer facilities for assistance, technical meetings, and commercial support.

  • Travel to supplier facilities when necessary.
