We are looking to bring on board a Construction Bidding Technician with experience in the construction sector, preferably having worked at construction companies, building firms, or companies specialized in project execution, to take part in the preparation, analysis, and economic valuation of construction tenders.

The selected candidate will be responsible for studying projects and tender documents, carrying out measurements and budgets, requesting and comparing bids from suppliers and subcontractors, and preparing competitive economic proposals, ensuring the correct technical and economic analysis of each project.

Experience in Retail projects, premises fit-outs, renovations, store rollouts, and commercial spaces, as well as knowledge of building installations, will be especially valued.
 

What you'll do

  • Analyze tender documents, projects, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Carry out measurements, budgets, and economic valuations of the works.
  • Prepare and review line items, unit prices, and direct and indirect costs.
  • Prepare comparative analyses of bids from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Request bids and negotiate technically with suppliers and trades.
  • Identify potential deviations, risks, and critical aspects of projects.
  • Carry out the technical-economic study of construction alternatives.
  • Prepare the necessary documentation for bid submission.
  • Work together with the Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
  • Review drawings and graphic documentation to identify requirements, measurements, and potential interferences.
  • Provide technical support during the bidding process and, when necessary, during the start of the works.
  • Keep price databases, cost histories, and supplier/subcontractor references up to date.
     

What we're looking for

  • Technical education: Architectural Technology, Building Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or vocational training related to Building/Civil Works or similar.
  • Previous experience of at least 3-5 years in estimating, tendering, or budgeting departments at construction companies.
  • Demonstrable experience carrying out measurements and budgets for construction works.
  • Good knowledge of construction processes and materials.
  • Experience working with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in Presto and Excel.
  • Knowledge of drawing and modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad or other similar software.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, projects, and technical documentation.
     

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in the Retail sector, especially in:
    • Store fit-outs and renovations.
    • Premises adaptation works.
    • Shopping centers.
    • Restaurants, offices, or commercial spaces.
    • Projects with multiple openings and tight execution deadlines.
  • Knowledge of electrical installations.
  • Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
  • Experience evaluating installations and coordinating bids from contractors.
  • Knowledge of fire protection, plumbing, and drainage installations.
  • Experience working with BIM models and documentation in Revit/Archicad.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large volumes of information.
  • Experience with tenders under tight deadlines and the ability to prioritize.
