About the role

The Business Data & AI Product Owner is functionally responsible for leading data & artificial intelligence products, use cases, and solutions from the business side, ensuring they generate tangible business impact. Their mission is to connect strategy, technology, and business needs, prioritizing initiatives, defining requirements, ensuring adoption, and maximizing the ROI of products based on data and AI models.

Acts as the product owner and business representative, ensuring that technical teams (Data Engineering, Data Science, MLOps, Architecture, Generative AI) work focused on delivering measurable and sustainable value.

Validate data quality and model results, defining thresholds, controls, and human oversight (HITL).

Document processes, use cases, and key decisions.

Ensure business needs are effectively represented throughout the development cycle.

Identify opportunities to apply new capabilities: generative AI, agentic workflows, automation, and optimization.

Education & certifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

A master's degree in Data & Analytics, AI, Big Data, Digital Transformation, or an MBA will be valued.

Solid knowledge of advanced analytics, ML/AI, predictive models, generative AI, and their lifecycle.

Conceptual understanding of data architectures, data platforms, CDPs, lakehouse, and MLOps.

Strong command of business metrics, ROI frameworks, and data-driven optimization.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies, product management, and backlog management tools.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applied to AI (GDPR, EU AI Act).

Ability to interpret analytical models without needing to develop them.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE

Have led or directed strategic, operational, or methodological initiatives that have improved: area efficiency,

data quality, traceability, executive reporting, coordination model, for a minimum of 3 years.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in requirements gathering, use case definition, functional analysis, and validation of deliverables.

Work in multidisciplinary squads under agile methodologies for a minimum of 3 years.
