The role

We collaborate with a major company in the industrial sector, located in Granollers, which needs to hire an EDM operator.

We are looking for a professional with experience in EDM and knowledge of mechanics and machining, who will be in charge of preparing, setting up, and controlling the section's equipment, guaranteeing maximum productivity and quality during the process.

What you'll do

Preparation, setup, and control of the 2 EDM machines.
Preparation, setup, and control of the deep hole drilling machine.
Preparation of the materials necessary for machining.
Shot blasting of parts and grinding of test pieces.
Recording and assignment of hours to each manufacturing order.
Management of the stock of replacement wire and consumables with the Purchasing department.
Attention and coordination with tool suppliers.
Reporting on the status of tasks and work in progress.
Proposal of improvements for process and quality optimization.
Performing first-level maintenance of the EDM and sinking machines.
Maintenance of order and cleanliness in the work area and of the machines.
Organization and cleaning of the raw or semi-cut material shelving.
Participation in the general cleaning of the workshop.
Management of waste removal (wire, resins, etc.) following environmental instructions.
