About the role

Support and assistance to the Sales Department of the Hotels ME Barcelona, ME Sitges Terramar, MIM Sitges, member of Melia Collection & Melia Sitges, with a multi-segment focus. Likewise, collaborate and actively participate in the coordination of day-to-day tasks as well as in the preparation of reports, presentations, follow-ups, and possible inspection visits alongside the Sales Manager or the Commercial Director.

What you'll do

  • Support in the preparation of the hotels' weekly Business Review reports.
  • Attend Business Reviews as a listener and provide support.
  • Creation and review of commercial presentations for the Barcelona & Sitges hotels.
  • Support and review of information on the different commercial distribution portals for the hotels.
  • Analysis of competition and market trends when required.
  • Analysis and identification of the potential of agencies that send requests to the hotels.
  • Analysis of the quality of requests, potential business volume, and the profile of clients represented by each agency.
  • Support in the coordination, creation, control, and management of the different commercial actions carried out with the commercial team.
  • Respond to emails and client requests efficiently and professionally. Ensure that requests are handled in a timely and proper manner.
  • Coordinate with the operational teams regarding the different communications, necessary information, and approval requests to ensure that the actions carried out are successful and that the facilities are prepared.
  • Coordination and possible attendance at Inspection Visits and/or Fam Trips that may take place at the Hotel.

Main requirements

  • Currently pursuing or having completed a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration or a similar field.
  • Minimum 6 months of internship required, with a full-time schedule of 8 hours.
  • Advanced Spanish and English (a third language is valued, and Catalan will also be valued).

  • Availability to travel between the hotels in Barcelona and Sitges.
