As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for all kitchen functions, directing and working with F&B team members to successfully execute all culinary operations, striving to continuously improve guest satisfaction and maximize the department's financial performance.

What you'll do

  • Perform general management tasks including, but not limited to, systems management, dish cost evaluation, budgeting and forecasting, report generation, and department management. 
  • Manage the shifts and schedules of the staff under your supervision, while also handling all hires, departures, absences, etc., within the department. 
  • Selection, training, and ongoing evaluation of all staff. 
  • Establish and ensure the proper image of the staff under your supervision and proper customer service. 
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and suggestions, and escalate them to your superior. 
  • Collaborate with and support all hotel departments. 
  • Design and establish standards for quality, environment, HACCP, and occupational risk prevention within the company, and collaborate with the hotel to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. 
  • Organize and coordinate the department's operations, optimizing the human and material resources provided by the hotel. 
  • Proactively create, design, manage, and control the hotel's entire gastronomic offering, with periodic review. (Technical sheets, PSP, Menu Engineering). 
  • Continuously develop R&D within the department.
  • Constantly analyze the F&B profit and loss statement to ensure goals are achieved. 
  • Oversee the management and control of stock, orders, and inventories of utensils, food, and beverages needed for hotel operations. 
  • Continuously supervise the quality of products and utensils used in services.

What we're looking for

  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity.
  • Professional training in hospitality/F&B/cooking. 
  • Proficiency in the local language is essential, and knowledge of English is highly valued. 
  • Practical knowledge of various software programs (Microsoft Office, etc.). 
  • Excellent management and organizational skills.
  • Customer service orientation. 
  • Commercial awareness. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
