As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for attending to guests' needs upon arrival and departure, as well as providing them with an exceptional overall experience during their stay, in line with the hotel's vision and values regarding customer satisfaction.

What you'll do

  • Receive and complete the check-in process for all guests and groups arriving in a timely and professional manner, as well as complete the check-out process for guests and groups departing. 
  • Manage room assignments based on guest characteristics (VIP, regular, new customers, etc.) with the corresponding department. 
  • Manage, if necessary, and ensure that the reception and management team are kept fully informed of guests' requests, inquiries, complaints, and/or suggestions, both from guests and other departments. 
  • Know all hotel products and services, rates, available promotions, and discount packages, as well as daily special and VIP events. 
  • Know and communicate the services available at the hotel (such as restaurant reservations) and general safety information. 
  • Maximize room occupancy at the best rates (this includes closing sales and extranets if necessary). 
  • Use up-selling techniques (promoting the company's loyalty program and Rewards, other destinations, food and beverages, transportation, and hotel facilities). 
  • Manage guests' room reservations. 
  • Provide guests with information about the property and surrounding area (museums, monuments), including special events, points of interest, restaurants, activities, etc., in the city. 
  • Respond to guests' requests for special services or arrangements (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by organizing them or identifying suitable providers. 
  • Follow the company's brand standards. 
  • Assist other departments as needed. 
  • Report and provide night services to guests (e.g., wake-up calls). 
  • Manage billing payments and cash operations during the night shift. 
  • Make rounds, check for irregularities, close windows, doors, etc. 
  • Responsible for night audit reports.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in the Front Office department, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity. 
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent. 
  • Proficiency in the local language and an advanced level of English are essential. 
  • Knowledge of various software programs (Microsoft Office, TMS, etc.) and Front Office systems. 
  • Customer service orientation. 
  • Flexibility to respond to various work situations. 
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Commercial awareness.
