One Acre Fund is a nonprofit organization that supports smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa, providing them with financing, training, and market access to help them increase their harvests and incomes. The organization operates with a large field team and a global support network, focusing on agricultural development and rural prosperity.
While One Acre Fund does not have a traditional office presence in Spain, the organization is actively hiring for a remote-based AI Engineering Lead position in the country, indicating a growing interest in building a tech hub there. For international professionals, this role offers a chance to work with a mission-driven global nonprofit, leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve complex agricultural challenges, all while contributing to a significant social impact.
One Acre Fund was founded in 2006 by a group of social entrepreneurs with the goal of ending hunger among smallholder farmers in Africa. The organization has since grown into a major nonprofit, expanding its operations across multiple countries and serving over a million farmers.
