Railway Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Railway Systems Engineer to join a high-level technical team focused on the design, development, and integration of advanced solutions for rolling stock. You will be responsible for:

• Translate client needs and industry regulations into technical specifications for railway systems and subsystems.
• Coordinate the integration of the various systems (traction, braking, signaling, TCMS, auxiliary, etc.), ensuring interoperability and overall vehicle consistency.
• Support product development from the conceptual phase, through theoretical validation, to the testing and commissioning phase.
• Act as the link between design teams (hardware/software), key subsystem suppliers, and the validation and testing areas.
• Participate in the preparation and monitoring of RAMS plans and regulatory compliance applicable to rolling stock.

Education: Degree or Master's in Engineering (Industrial, Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, or similar).

Experience: Proven experience in systems engineering within the railway sector (rolling stock, signaling, or key subsystems).

Technical skills:

Proficiency in requirements engineering (tools such as DOORS or similar).

Knowledge of applicable international railway standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, etc.).

Global view of systems architecture and integration in trains.

Languages: Fluent English (B2/C1), essential for technical communication with international clients and suppliers. Knowledge of German will be valued.

Location: Residency in or availability to work in Bilbao (profiles based in Madrid open to mobility or shared projects will also be considered).

Permanent contract.

Compensation package consisting of fixed salary, variable salary, and pension plan.

Flexible working hours (entry from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and exit from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) with intensive working hours in summer. Possibility of 2 days of teleworking after completing the 6-month probationary period.

Buscamos a un/a Ingeniero/a de Sistemas Ferroviarios para incorporarse a un equipo técnico de alto nivel enfocado en el diseño, desarrollo e integración de soluciones avanzadas para material rodante. Te encargarás de:

• Traducir las necesidades del cliente y normativas del sector en especificaciones técnicas de sistemas y subsistemas ferroviarios.
• Coordinar la integración de los distintos sistemas (tracción, frenado, señalización, TCMS, auxiliar, etc.) garantizando la interoperabilidad y coherencia global del vehículo.
• Acompañar el desarrollo del producto desde la fase conceptual, pasando por la validación teórica, hasta la fase de pruebas y puesta en servicio.
• Actuar como nexo de unión entre los equipos de diseño (hardware/software), proveedores de subsistemas clave y las áreas de validación y ensayos.
• Participar en la elaboración y seguimiento de los planes de RAMS y cumplimiento normativo aplicable al material rodante.

Formación: Grado o Máster en Ingeniería (Industrial, Telecomunicaciones, Electrónica, Automática o similar).

Experiencia: Experiencia previa consolidada en ingeniería de sistemas dentro del sector ferroviario (material rodante, señalización o subsistemas clave).

Conocimientos técnicos:

Dominio de la ingeniería de requisitos (herramientas tipo DOORS o similares).

Conocimiento de la normativa ferroviaria internacional aplicable (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, etc.).

Visión global de la arquitectura e integración de sistemas en trenes.

Idiomas: Nivel fluido de Inglés (B2/C1), imprescindible para interlocución técnica con clientes y proveedores internacionales. Se valorarán positivamente conocimientos de alemán.

Ubicación: Residencia o disponibilidad para trabajar en Bilbao (se valorarán también perfiles con base en Madrid abiertos a movilidad o proyectos compartidos).

Contrato de carácter indefinido.

Horario flexible (entrada de 7:30 h-9:00 h y salida de 16:30 h-18:00 h) con jornada intensiva en verano. Posibilidad de 2 días de teletrabajo superado el periodo de prueba de 6 meses.
