We are looking for a Railway Systems Engineer to join a high-level technical team focused on the design, development, and integration of advanced solutions for rolling stock. What you'll do

You will be responsible for:

  • Translate client needs and industry regulations into technical specifications for railway systems and subsystems.
  • Coordinate the integration of the various systems (traction, braking, signaling, TCMS, auxiliary, etc.), ensuring interoperability and overall vehicle consistency.
  • Support product development from the conceptual phase, through theoretical validation, to the testing and commissioning phase.
  • Act as the link between design teams (hardware/software), key subsystem suppliers, and the validation and testing areas.
  • Participate in the preparation and monitoring of RAMS plans and regulatory compliance applicable to rolling stock.

Requirements

Education: Degree or Master's in Engineering (Industrial, Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, or similar).

Experience: Proven experience in systems engineering within the railway sector (rolling stock, signaling, or key subsystems).

Technical skills:

Proficiency in requirements engineering (tools such as DOORS or similar).

Knowledge of applicable international railway standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, etc.).

Global view of systems architecture and integration in trains.

Languages: Fluent English (B2/C1), essential for technical communication with international clients and suppliers. Knowledge of German will be valued.

Location: Residency in or availability to work in Bilbao (profiles based in Madrid open to mobility or shared projects will also be considered).
