About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Quality Technician with Metallurgical Engineering expertise to support product qualification activities, process improvement, and quality assurance in the laboratory within an advanced industrial environment. You will play a key role in metallurgical analysis, resolving non-conformities, and improving processes across several plants within the group, joining a highly specialized technical team.

What you'll do

Within the quality department, reporting to the Metallurgy Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting product qualification processes, technical improvement, and quality assurance across the various plants. They will participate in advanced metallurgical analysis as well as in the management and improvement of the laboratory quality system, while coordinating with other departments throughout the production process.

Main responsibilities:

  1. I) Qualifications and process improvement
  • Conduct metallurgical and process consultations.
  • Support the approval of new clients and the preparation of technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the plants on improving heat treatment and surface treatment processes.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to mechanical properties, grain size, and non-conformities detected in the laboratory.
  • Prepare technical dossiers, final reports, and associated documentation.
  • Participate in internal audits and kamishibai reviews.
  1. II) Laboratory quality
  • Implement, maintain, and improve the laboratory management system in accordance with standards such as ISO 17025.
  • Identify deviations in the quality system and promote corrective and preventive actions.
  • Report to management on system performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Review and analyze data from non-conforming tests, leading root cause studies and developing trend analysis tools.
