What you'll do

As a Data Architect at Dcode, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable and secure data architectures in cloud environments. You will lead complex digital transformation projects and data products around engineering, ensuring the efficient integration of structured and unstructured data, and guaranteeing their quality, governance, and availability for analytical use.

Your approach will be strategic and technical, with a global vision of the data ecosystem, collaborating closely with engineering, data science, and business teams to maximize the value of data in sectors such as industry, energy, infrastructure, and aerospace.

About the company & team

At Sener, we put the knowledge of almost seven decades of engineering and technological innovation at the service of our clients to help them with the problems and challenges of their day-to-day.

We need to incorporate profiles into Dcode, which has an absolutely digital approach, perfectly complementing the scope of action with operational efficiency.

We want to accompany companies and their businesses in digital transformation across all types of markets, such as industry, energy, infrastructure, transportation, aerospace, defense, or health.

Our mission at Dcode is to drive digitalization through knowledge of industry and operational processes, making our clients more data-driven, secure, and efficient in the face of growing market competition.

As key responsibilities, we highlight the following

We are looking for a person with extensive experience working on data projects and products to join our team to design, develop, and implement analytical solutions (descriptive and advanced) in real use cases.

  • Design data architectures in the public cloud (Azure, AWS) that support near-real-time and batch data flows, applying organization-level patterns such as Lakehouse or Data Fabric.

  • Define data storage and consumption models (Data Lakes, Data Warehouses), as well as access, retention, and security policies.

  • Technically lead data projects and products, supervising Data Engineers and collaborating with Data Scientists, analysts, and business.

  • Interface with technical and business stakeholders, explaining design decisions and strategic recommendations.

  • Apply good architectural practices, promoting automation, efficiency, and scalability.

  • Participate in defining data architecture standards and methodologies within the organization.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security, complying with regulations such as GDPR and ISO 27001.

What we expect from you

  • More than 10 years of experience in data projects, with at least 4 years designing complex data architectures.

  • Ability to lead digital transformation projects with a business vision and a focus on value delivery. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), actively participating in ceremonies.

  • Autonomy, strategic thinking, and results orientation. Ability to mentor more junior profiles and foster good practices within the team.

  • Experience in consulting environments is valued, especially in sectors such as industry, energy, infrastructure, or aerospace.

Technical skills

  • Solid experience working in a public cloud environment on Azure and/or AWS (certifications valued).

  • Experience designing scalable, resilient, and secure solutions. Knowledge of complex data architecture patterns (Data Mesh, Data Fabric, etc.) is also expected.

  • Knowledge of real-time or near-real-time processing mechanisms (streaming techniques or micro-batching), and orchestration strategies with OSS or cloud tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Step Functions).

  • Experience in data modeling, especially regarding normalization, logical and physical design, and consumption patterns.

  • Knowledge of data governance and security, especially regarding the application of good metadata management practices, data quality, access policies, encryption, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience integrating data from sensors and devices (IoT) is positively valued.

What we offer you:

These are some of the benefits you will enjoy at Sener:

  • You will have the opportunity to participate in innovative, high-tech international projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team.

  • You will enjoy better management of your time through our flexible working hours and remote work policies.

  • You can optimize your salary with our flexible compensation plan (meal card, private health insurance, childcare vouchers...) and you will have life and accident insurance.

  • We will take care of you with our physical and emotional well-being program, which includes sports, workshops, etc.

  • We will boost your professional development with technical, skills, and language training, etc., so you can keep growing and achieving your goals.

  • We promote equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion for all people, and we are certified as a Family-Responsible Entity (efr).

If you identify with our values and want to be part of a leading international family-owned engineering firm, we look forward to meeting you! We want to go as far as you want to go.
