• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the position

With experience in:

• Electrical design CAD tools

• Time and frequency domain circuit simulation (PSPICE, LTSPICE or similar)

  • AC analysis simulation in DC/DCs. Knowledge of typical transfer functions of the topologies.

• Design of classic topologies (Flyback, Forward, push-pull, half-bridge, Buck, Buck-boost) in power electronics, including control and filters.

• Equipment commissioning, laboratory work. Use of instrumentation (oscilloscope, electronic loads, frequency analyzers...)

• Design documentation

• Product responsibility

• Interaction with clients and suppliers. Technical negotiation.

Valued (not required):

• Autonomy.

• PCB layout design.

• EMC knowledge.

• Magnetic component design.

• Version control tools (Git, Mercurial, SubVersion).

• Programming

• Studies in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related degrees.

• Advanced level of English.

At Sener Aeroespacial y Defensa, we wish to incorporate Power Electronics Engineers for Flight Equipment into our team, at our center in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona).

What you will do

You will be in charge of the design of Power Electronics for Flight Equipment, with your main functions being:

• Responsible for power electronics in the assigned project.

• Detailed design of low and medium power DC/DC converters, and analog electronics.

• Characterization and adjustment of circuits in a cleanroom or laboratory.

• Performing RAMs analysis (Worst Case, Part Stress, FMEA, etc.)

• Processing and presentation of test results.

And additionally carrying out the following tasks:

• Interface with other departments regarding product development.

• Creation of schematics and PCB layout.

• Simulation and modeling of power circuits.

• Generation of manufacturing documentation.

• Design documentation.

• Product status reporting to project managers and clients.

• Participation in bids (technical support).

• Responsibility for the assigned product.
