The role

At Sener, we orient engineering toward the sustainability of industry and society. That is why we develop projects aimed at achieving maximum efficiency in the transition toward a sustainable energy model, through innovation and technology.

We are responsible for the conception, development, and construction of energy plants and their components, ranging from the most conventional technologies such as combined cycles, biomass, etc., to new renewable and future technologies such as offshore wind, green hydrogen, manageability, circular economy, and sustainability.

At Sener Energy, we want to bring into our team a Mechanical Equipment Specialist Engineer for national and international energy projects, at our work center in Getxo (Bizkaia) or Tres Cantos (Madrid). You will participate in the mechanical equipment area, in projects and bids for both power generation and Oil & Gas, such as combined cycles, regasification plants, cogeneration, renewables, CO2 capture, waste-to-energy, circular economy, hydrogen, and nuclear.

What you'll do

  • As the Mechanical Equipment Lead Engineer, you will work on the detailed engineering of projects and bids with EPC/EPcm scope, under the supervision of a Discipline Lead Engineer, in coordination with a multidisciplinary team from our offices in Madrid, Bilbao, Sao Paulo, and Mexico City, as well as with engineers from other disciplines, the Project Management team, the Client, and equipment suppliers.

  • You must study the Project's contractual requirements, correctly define mechanical equipment in specifications and data sheets based on data from other disciplines, carry out technical evaluations for equipment purchasing, and coordinate and approve documentation from rotating mechanical equipment vendors (turbines, pumps, gas compressors, air coolers, etc.) and package units (compressed air, auxiliary boilers, HRSGs, gas regulation and metering stations, etc.).
