Join Siemens Gamesa as an Intern of Design Validation Turbine Loads Team and immerse yourself in the exciting world of renewable energy! Imagine defining and modifying wind turbine models for aeroelastic calculations while performing simulations under various design conditions. You will analyze loads and dynamics, collaborate with control and component departments, and contribute to the development of innovative technologies for wind turbine design. This role offers you the chance to enhance your professional skills and build a global network, all while making a meaningful impact on our planet's future.
What you'll do
- Define and modify wind turbine models for precise aeroelastic calculations.
- Perform simulations in diverse design conditions using aeroelastic codes like BHawC.
- Analyze loads and dynamics of wind turbines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with control and component departments to enhance design efficiency.
- Develop and research new technologies for wind turbine modeling and validation.
- Provide support on critical problems, programming, and methods to improve processes.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Recently graduated or in the final stages of a Master's Thesis or PhD in Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
- Knowledge in aerodynamics, structural design, structural dynamics, or control systems.
- Additional training in wind energy, such as wind turbine aerodynamics and performance, is a plus.
- Familiarity with wind turbine design standards like IEC61400-1 and DNVGL is advantageous.
- Experience in wind turbine load analysis using programs like GH Bladed, FLEX5, or FAST is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Spanish is a plus.
