About the role

From the global Talent and Capabilities area, within the People function, our mission is to ensure the connection between capabilities, talent, and business strategy, making sure we have the necessary capabilities and talent for Telefónica's success, anticipating the future.

Our ambition is the transformation of the business through the development of people across the entire Group. To achieve this, we focus on anticipating what the capabilities of the future will be through AI & technology, we identify the capability gap, and we activate levers to close the gaps identified, using levers such as upskilling, reskilling, or executive hiring.

The team is made up of 4 areas to achieve this vision: Capability Strategy; Universitas; People DNA (data architecture around people); Talent & Leadership.

What will your mission be? 🎯

You will lead the implementation of the Group's Skill-based organization, identifying the strengths and threats of the model.

What you'll do

You will propose new KPIs or review the parameters of the current ones, e.g., adoption.

You will create a solid value proposition for the employee regarding Skills within the Group, suggesting communication plans, actions, etc., aimed at achieving a higher level of adoption.

You will be the project manager for Skillsbank as the main working tool at a functional level (with technical support) and you will be responsible for defining functional improvements and proper management of updates and incidents through relationships with technology or data teams.

You will provide support to the global taxonomy, addressing the requests of each OB (Operating Business), and carrying out governance for the simplification or extension of the current taxonomy.

You will lead the Skill-based process map as the target state vision and implementation plan of the Skill-based organization strategy across all OBs, and it will serve as the framework for developing the different levels of workstreams throughout the year, which you will create in a highly detailed backlog agreed upon with the OBs.

You will manage, together with the OBs, workstreams such as talent acquisition by skills, onboarding by skills, performance by skills, succession by skills, compensation linked to skills, SWP, learning, and offboarding.

You will be able to report the status of the SBO at an executive level through presentations.
