  • Growing your technical expertise and expanding your skillset with every customer application, project, and challenge.

  • Collaborating with a bright, inclusive, global team while working closely with customers, Sales, Support, and R&D.

It's all possible with a role at X-Rite Pantone, the global leaders in color science and technology.

X-Rite Pantone, a Veralto company, provides complete end-to-end color management solutions for clients in every industry where color matters. At X-Rite Pantone, you'll deftly blend the art and science of color to help customers inspire, select, measure, formulate, communicate and match color so that users get color right the first time, every time. And along the way, you'll build a vibrant career through rich skill-building opportunities, on-the-job learning, and coaching and training that supports your continued development and growth.

Reporting to the Teamleader Application Support, the Application Engineer will serve as a technical expert for X-Rite's color management solutions across Iberia. In this customer-facing role, you'll help customers get the most from X-Rite's hardware and software by providing technical consultation, demonstrations, training, troubleshooting, and application support. You'll work closely with Sales, Customer Support, and R&D to understand customer needs, develop effective workflows, and help shape future product improvements.

This position is remote/field-based in Spain or Portugal, with primary responsibility for customers across Spain and Portugal and alignment with the broader EMEA team.

In this role, a typical day will look like

  • Provide high-level technical support for X-Rite hardware and software, troubleshooting complex challenges related to color measurement and color management systems.
  • Partner with Sales during pre-sales activities, providing technical consultation, supporting product selection, answering technical questions, and delivering product demonstrations.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations, training sessions, and webinars for customers, both remotely and on-site.
  • Work directly with customers to understand their specific applications and develop or support workflows that integrate X-Rite solutions into their processes.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Development by sharing customer feedback, product performance insights, improvement opportunities, and new feature requests.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including application notes, user guides, and best-practice procedures that help customers optimize their use of X-Rite solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites across Spain and Portugal for product installations, troubleshooting, and hands-on training, with occasional travel to trade shows and conferences.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in application engineering, technical support, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of color science and color management principles, including experience with color measurement technologies such as spectrophotometers and/or colorimeters.
  • Understanding of digital imaging technologies and printing processes, ideally gained within the printing, packaging, textiles, automotive, or related industries.
  • Fluent Spanish and professional-level English are required; Portuguese is preferred.
