The role

We are currently executing Owner's Engineering services for hyperscale data center projects in Europe. We are looking for an electrical engineer with extensive experience in high voltage installations, substations, and industrial facilities, capable of participating transversally in the various phases of the project. The profile will combine design judgment, technical review capacity, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, with knowledge of grid access and connection processes and the grid code.

What you'll do

Electrical engineer with experience in the design and review of substations, high voltage systems, and industrial electrical installations. You will be responsible for defining technical criteria, reviewing engineering developed by third parties, and coordinating the interfaces between the main electrical systems of the project. You will also participate in the review of electrical studies and in the documentation associated with grid access and connection, verifying compliance with the grid code during the different phases of the project. You will act as a technical liaison between the design, electrical studies, construction, commissioning, and client teams.

  • Define and review the engineering of substations, high voltage installations, and associated electrical systems, ensuring robust technical solutions aligned with project requirements.
  • Review the design, sizing, and integration of the main electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, cables, protections, auxiliary systems, and backup generation) and their interfaces within the data center.
  • Supervise electrical studies, regulatory compliance, and technical coordination with the various project stakeholders to guarantee the correct execution of the installations.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical evaluations of bids, and technical monitoring during the manufacturing, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Prepare and review the technical documentation associated with grid access and connection and the Grid Code requirements applicable to the project.
  • Verify that the project design and execution comply with the connection and Grid Code requirements established by the system operator, coordinating with the electrical studies team when necessary.
  • Coordinate and manage the technical and regulatory documentation required during the grid connection process, acting as a technical interlocutor with transmission and distribution operators.
  • Lead technical coordination meetings with the client and the various project participants.
