About the role

ACCIONA in its Energy business line, needs to hire an electric market operator for its Energy Trading Desk team, at its Madrid campus

Mission: To carry out the purchase/sale operations of energy from Acciona Group facilities and Clients in the Wholesale Electricity Market (OMIE and REE) within the "Energy Trading Desk".

What you'll do

  • Preparation and entry of bids for the day-ahead and intraday markets managed by OMIE.

  • Making bids in REE adjustment services markets: technical restrictions, secondary, tertiary and real-time.

  • Preparation and entry of bids for the European continuous intraday market through the XBID platform.

  • Study and implementation of the strategy for the operation of storage assets.

  • Daily, weekly, monthly and annual operation reporting: clearing results, calculation of excess revenues and imbalance costs, pre-invoicing for Back Office.

  • Analysis of the different European electricity markets (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Croatia)

  • Development of tools in VBA: massive data import and processing, preparation and loading of files, creation of results reports, data visualization tools and decision-making.

  • Analysis of results and preparation of energy sales strategy studies in the different markets managed by OMIE and REE, as well as decision-making on short and long-term operational strategy through analysis tools.

  • Relationship with suppliers in the development of improvements and resolution of incidents.
