ACCIONA, in its water business, needs to hire a Desalination Plant Operator at its plants on the island of Ibiza, Balearic Islands

The duties of the position are:

Working in direct contact with the Plant Manager, the role will have the following duties and responsibilities:

What you'll do

  • Comply with and adhere to the hygiene and sanitation standards of the facility, as well as the occupational risk prevention policies.
  • Apply compliance with all necessary safety standards for the work to be performed, as well as the mandatory use of the required PPE.
  • Perform operational maneuvers through SCADA (start-up, adjustments, and shutdowns of equipment and production or process units).
  • Understand and control the operation of SCADA (control system).
  • Perform field operational maneuvers on equipment or process units.
  • Carry out any operation task assigned.
  • Take readings, fill in, and interpret O&M data records, as well as complete and report daily work reports.
  • Collect samples for analysis and parametric measurements in the field or laboratory as assigned.
  • Understand the treatment process and act on possible variations from normal operation.
  • Control the complete operation of the facility and supervise the functioning of the plant.
  • Assist maintenance personnel when necessary.
  • Supervise operational tasks and/or maintenance of the operations assistant.
  • Carry out minor repairs.
  • Perform facility cleaning tasks.
  • Any work that may be required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

No experience required

Education: FP2 in electricity or mechanics, Laboratory Technician, degree holder or Engineer.

Work in rotating shifts and under collective agreement conditions

Ability to work in a team

Ability to organize work efficiently.

Experience in the water treatment sector (desalination and purification).

Knowledge or training in chemistry, laboratory techniques, electronics, electromechanics or electricity.
