About the role

ACCIONA, in its Industrial business line, is looking to hire a Project Engineer for its offices in Madrid or Seville, for one of its photovoltaic projects.

Mission:

Coordinate, supervise, and control the development of the engineering for assigned projects, leading the technical team and ensuring the quality of deliverables, compliance with deadlines, coordination with the different areas involved, and proper technical management of designs, in order to guarantee compliance with client requirements, organizational standards, and project objectives.

What you'll do


Functions:

  • Review deliverables produced by Staff Engineers and support areas and provide feedback for the continuous improvement of processes and workflows.
  • Develop analysis and interpretation of data, information, and other analysis tools.
  • Prepare complete reports or technical memos for Engineering Management and Project Management.
  • Collaborate continuously with the Construction/Operations department to improve technical and construction solutions, monitor the progress of potential engineering subcontractors, and control schedules.
  • Prepare the engineering schedule and monitor the completion times of projects and client responses to comply with the established schedule.
  • Coordinate the assigned team of specialists.
  • Control the DPP, obtain approvals for designs in accordance with the Area Coordinators/Site Manager/Project Manager.
  • Manage procurement in coordination with the Procurement Department and the Project Manager, technical approval of materials, and technical updates to the project procurement plan.
  • Conduct site visits and coordinate with on-site engineering personnel.
  • Review designs to be presented to the client, analyze the most economical proposal, and make decisions on delivery.
  • Communicate to the Project Manager any design requirements from the client beyond what was presented in the bid and the technical specifications delivered during the tendering process.

Candidate requirements

Education:
Technical or Higher Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering or similar.

Experience:
Previous related experience of at least 5 years.

Languages:

Advanced English

Additional Knowledge

  • Planning, coordination, and management of engineering projects, especially photovoltaic plants.
  • Knowledge of Engineering design and supervision of electromechanical specialties; knowledge of civil designs or high voltage is valued.
