The application submission period will begin on 05/08/2026 and will end on 13/09/2026, both dates included. This same period will be the only valid one for challenging this call for applications.

Payment of participation fees

Candidates must pay fifteen euros (15 €) as "participation fees", through the Caixabank payment gateway, following the instructions specified in the registration form on the Grupo Renfe Employment portal, https://www.empleo.renfe.com, and must make as many payments as the calls for applications to which they apply as a candidate.

If the aforementioned payment has not been made, or the amount paid is not correct, the registration in the call for applications will not be considered valid and, therefore, the candidate will be excluded from the process.

The same procedure will be followed for candidates who, having made the payment, have not formalized the corresponding registration within the deadline and through the channel established for this purpose.

In no case will the Grupo Renfe refund the amount of the participation fees due to not obtaining a position, not attending the selection tests, not meeting or proving the requirements of the call for applications, registering in both calls for applications, or paying the fees without registering on the Grupo Renfe Employment Portal.

The following are exempt from paying this fee:

  1. Persons with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33 percent, who must attach a certificate proving such condition to the application.
  2. Persons who have been registered as job seekers for at least one month before the date of
publication of the call for applications. The requirements for enjoying the exemption are that, during the period in question, they have not rejected an adequate job offer or refused to participate, except for justified reasons, in promotion, training or professional reconversion actions, and that they also lack income higher, on a monthly basis, than the Interprofessional Minimum Wage. These points must be justified by presenting a certificate to this effect issued by the State Public Employment Service.
  3. Large families within the terms of Article 12.1.c) of Law 40/2003, of 18 November, on the Protection of Large Families. Members of families in the special category shall be entitled to a 100% exemption from the fee, and those in the general category shall be entitled to a 50% reduction. The status of a large family shall be proven through the corresponding updated certificate.
  4. Victims of terrorism, understood as persons who have suffered physical or psychological harm as a result of terrorist activity and who prove this through a final court judgment or by virtue of an administrative resolution recognizing such status, their spouse or person who has lived with them in an analogous relationship of affection, the spouse of the deceased and the children of the injured and deceased.
  5. Victims of gender-based violence and their children shall be exempt from the payment of 100% of the participation fees. This situation shall be proven through a court ruling, a report from the Public Prosecutor's Office, or any documentation included in the legislation in force on gender-based violence.

The payment of the examination fees or, where applicable, the justification of the concurrence of any of the causes of total or partial exemption from them, must be made within the application submission period. Otherwise, the applicant will be excluded.

In no case will the payment of the examination fees or the justification of the concurrence of any of the causes of total or partial exemption from them replace the procedure of submitting, in a timely and proper manner, the application to participate in the selection process.

In the case of exemption from the payment of the fee or a reduction of it, the supporting documentation for the exemption or reduction must be attached.
