What we're looking for

  • At least 10 years of experience in hydraulic projects and works, in roles involving execution, supervision, Site Management, technical assistance, or control and surveillance.

The role

We are looking to incorporate a Senior Engineer with a solid professional career in hydraulic works into the Transport area to act as the Site Director's representative in the field.

The selected person will be the main technical interlocutor for the Site Management, taking responsibility for monitoring and controlling execution and for the coordination of contractors, inspectors, specialists, and other involved agents.

We are looking for a professional with solid experience in the execution, supervision, Site Management, or technical assistance of hydraulic infrastructures, such as pipelines and water supply or sanitation networks, pumping stations, reservoirs, regulation works, canals, or other similar infrastructures.

What you'll do

  • Represent the Site Director in the field, ensuring compliance with the project, specifications, technical requirements, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate and supervise the assigned team of inspectors, as well as contractors and specialists involved in the execution.
  • Supervise execution and Quality Assurance (QA), including materials, equipment, construction procedures, Inspection and Test Plans, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Manage technical site documentation, including RFIs (Requests for Information), Technical Submittals, technical inquiries, drawings, and construction procedures.
  • Monitor the planning and progress of the works, controlling the fulfillment of milestones, deviations, and corrective measures, as well as assigned resources (personnel, equipment, and means).
  • Perform technical and economic monitoring, including measurements, certifications, costs, project modifications, price deviations, and contractual incidents.
  • Coordinate and lead Site Management meetings with contractors, the client, technical assistance, and other agents, monitoring agreements and the resolution of technical inquiries.
  • Prepare and review minutes, progress reports, and other technical documentation, guaranteeing the traceability of decisions and the progress of the works.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and environmental requirements, with special sensitivity towards prevention and control of risks on site.
  • Participate in hydraulic and functional testing, commissioning, handover, and project closure.
