Requirements
**Requirements, skills and experience**
We’re looking for someone with practical woodworking or carpentry experience and a genuine interest in developing their skills in marine carpentry. You should be confident using hand and power tools, able to measure and work accurately, and take care with preparation, finish and keeping your work area tidy. Reliability, a positive attitude, good communication and the ability to work well as part of a small team are essential. Marine carpentry or boatyard experience is an advantage, but we’re also open to candidates with solid general carpentry skills who are keen to learn.
The role
As a Marine Carpenter with Anchored Carpentry, you’ll work on a varied range of projects, including teak decking, interior joinery, restoration and refinishing aboard sailing yachts and motor yachts. You’ll be part of a small, skilled team delivering carefully made work to a high standard. It’s a great opportunity to build your skills across different areas of marine carpentry, take pride in visible, lasting results and contribute to bespoke projects where quality and attention to detail matter.
