About the role
At Anyone AI, we create high-quality training and evaluation data for frontier AI models. We're looking for Mechanical Engineering Experts with practical experience in CAD modeling, mechanical design, manufacturing processes, engineering simulations, and technical documentation.
You'll develop and validate realistic engineering tasks that assess whether AI agents can interpret technical specifications, design mechanical components, perform calculations, analyze simulation results, and complete professional engineering workflows. Your expertise will help establish reliable reference solutions and meaningful evaluation criteria.
What you'll do
Design realistic mechanical engineering tasks based on product development, manufacturing, and industrial engineering workflows.
Create and review 2D technical drawings, 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering specifications.
Develop tasks involving mechanical design, materials selection, tolerance analysis, and component optimization.
Prepare and validate engineering calculations, including stress, strain, forces, thermal behavior, and mechanical performance.
Work with simulation outputs such as finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or manufacturing simulations.
Identify design inconsistencies, incorrect assumptions, manufacturing constraints, and potential engineering failures.
Create reference solutions with traceable calculations, technical explanations, and clearly justified assumptions.
Review AI-generated engineering outputs for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project requirements.
Collaborate with technical contributors to establish reproducible tasks and objective evaluation criteria.
What we're looking for
A bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
Substantial professional experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing, or engineering analysis.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design requirements.
Experience performing engineering calculations and validating design decisions.
Strong analytical skills and attention to technical detail.
Ability to document engineering workflows and explain technical decisions clearly.
Strong written English communication skills.
Nice to have
A Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience with FEA, CFD, or other engineering simulation tools.
Familiarity with GD&T, manufacturing tolerances, and industry standards.
Experience with CNC machining, additive manufacturing, or industrial automation.
Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or engineering workflow automation.
Previous experience reviewing AI-generated technical outputs or developing engineering assessments.
About Anyone AI
Anyone AI is an EdTech company that develops AI-powered educational tools and platforms. Based in San Francisco, the company focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance learning experiences, offering products that range from AI tutoring systems to adaptive learning technologies. While the company is relatively young, it has established a presence in the AI education space, working with experts across various domains to train and refine its AI models.
Anyone AI has a significant remote-first presence in Spain, hiring experts in fields like mathematics, physics, biology, and software engineering to contribute to AI training and development. The company offers fully remote positions within Spain, making it an attractive option for international professionals seeking flexible work arrangements. With a focus on AI model training and development, Anyone AI provides opportunities for experts to apply their knowledge in a cutting-edge field, though its brand recognition is limited outside of niche AI and EdTech circles.
