ArcelorMittal Sestao is seeking a Reliability Engineer for the Steelworks with the aim of ensuring that a company's equipment and systems operate optimally and reliably, preventing failures, reducing maintenance costs, and increasing productivity. What you'll do

Analysis and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure the analysis of available equipment data, review deficiencies during corrective or preventive maintenance, and define whether or not an RCA (root cause analysis) of a breakdown is needed.
  • Focus on monitoring and improving the performance indicators of the maintenance plan.

Maintenance Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and optimize maintenance strategies in both concept and plan. Define criticalities and select the appropriate type of maintenance using the relevant techniques (FMEA, RCM, etc.). Responsible for the consistency of the maintenance plan.
  • Recording the maintenance plan in the CMMS (SAP) through routes, maintenance plans, meters, measuring points, etc.

Resource and Spare Parts Management

  • Define spare parts and stock parameters, as well as repairable spare parts.
  • Define maintenance contracts in accordance with plant/department policy: in coordination with Procurement, define technical specifications, consult different companies, organize comparisons, and participate in the final decision. Standards and Procedures

  • Define which equipment must be calibrated, as well as the relevant actions for calibrating them and their tolerances.
  • Ensure continuous improvement.
  • Develop standards and procedures for important maintenance tasks, taking into account legal, safety, and environmental requirements and other boundary conditions. Promote the standardization of work and equipment.

Documentation and Technical Management

  • Ensure the quality of technical documentation, as well as equipment data in the CMMS.
  • Manage improvements or modifications for maintenance.

Health, Safety, and Environment

  • Plan and monitor the preventive activities of their area, in line with the Prevention Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Ensure that work equipment and protective equipment in their area are in adequate condition.
  • Enforce and ensure compliance with safety regulations /PSSR, Golden Rules, Procedures, PPE, etc.)
  • Supervise that all incidents occurring in their area and/or affecting their collaborators are reported, analyzed promptly, and that actions are taken to prevent their recurrence.
  • Facilitate access to medical examinations, and be aware of the medical fitness and/or limitations of the people under their supervision.
